Laos Photography

I crossed over the Thai-Lao border in a weakened state a day after leaving hospital where where I’d been after contracting dengue fever. I made my way to the capital Vientiane, and then northwest through Vang Vieng and onward to the town of Luang Prabang on the banks of the Mekong River. Luang Prabang is extremely photogenic, located on the banks of the Mekong river, it offers endless opportunities for photography. After Luang Prabang I headed a little farther off the beaten track to the village of Nong Khiaw on the banks of the Nam Ou river. After this it was onward to the isolated villages of Muang Ngoi, Huay Bo and Ban Na, all extremely interesting places to visit with wonderful people. From here it was onward to the Vietnamese border a couple of days journey northwest.
